An Ayurvedic Spa shielded by hills on the north, Located in the outskirts of Madurai for the Art of Living Foundation. The Space comprises of four different blocks connected through a central courtyard. With the strict budget given, and the site being rocky soil, we planned a random rubble masonry foundation and a steel tiled roof supported on iron verticals to reduce load on the foundations and construction costs.

The Principal of the four blocks is the administrative block which houses the reception, consultation rooms, medicine preparatory labs, pharmacy and stores. One block is separate for dining and kitchen facility. The other two are for spa and accommodation for the staff respectively.

The central courtyard acts as the transition as well as social space and with a huge tree planned it should be a pleasant shaded space during the day. The idea is to bring in more landscape in this project inorder to connect with the naturalist nature of the spa. There is also a Yoga and meditation court where sessions could take place. All the blocks are planned in a manner to naturally ventilate and rehabilitate the space.
