The house is for a famed artist in Chennai. The brief was for an office and three bedroom house for a family of three. The design had to be modern and minimal.

The proposed was an office space, covered car park for 3 and a courtyard in the ground level. The staircase leads to the living dining kitchen areas on level 2. A master bedroom, covered balcony and utility space opening to the courtyard in the rear complete level 2. Level 3 has two bedrooms.

The façade is box sections of aluminium that shade the huge glass opening inside the house, thereby opening the house from inside at the same time covering from out. Sense of privacy and openness is created using this facade and direct lighting and radiation is cut down significantly.
