Syrma-SGS

This project was in collaboration with Cynthia dimpu architects and KG-Bright enterprises. The program was a renovation of an old facility and to give a new facelift for the client Syrma-SGS. This 25,000 Sqft. office in MEPZ – Chennai followed open planning ideology for workstations along with central grouping of mangers and meeting cabins were proposed to have an interactive environment. The colour palate chosen is Scandinavian theme with use of natural monochromatic tones with natural wood compliments. The design of tables and cubicles were based on the inputs gathered from the employees. The exposed ceiling in the workstation area was proposed to increase visibility and to create large volume spaces. Baffle ceiling for the meeting rooms with minimal light fixtures or mostly accented lighting were decisively given to give focus to the tables underneath. The cafeteria and restrooms were functionally designed keeping in mind efficiency and low maintenance. The reception lobby was intentionally left spacious with high ceiling and minimum seating to give authority to the reception area. Blue colour was being used to signify the clients branding.
